Biochemical Engineering BSc program

The Biochemical engineering BSc program is a 7-semester-long (3 and a half academic years) program. Through their modern theoretical and practical knowledge of natural sciences, bioengineering students become capable of performing independent organizational and management tasks in the scientific life and various fields of the economy and industry. With the knowledge provided by the training, they can also become suitable for the second cycle of the training to continue.

The major fields are biological anthropology, biochemistry, biotechnology, cell biology, ecology, genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, neurobiology, and plant biology. A four-year scholarship for the PhD studies is sponsored by governmental and non-governmental organisations. The participating units maintain close cooperation with laboratories both in Europe and overseas, therefore mobility projects throughout the duration of the program are possible.
